As of Monday, March 3, Utah Indoor Pool will be closed until further notice. Our team is working diligently to get the facility back up and running.
Utah Pool was originally constructed as an outdoor pool in 1974 and many of the integral systems are original to that time. Some of the original pipes are cast iron and have become brittle and corroded over 50 years of operation under the pool and were found to be leaking and in need of repair. The pool will continue to remain closed as these repairs occur, as well as some important improvements to the pool systems, including filtration and safety items.
Central Recreation Center, Moorhead Recreation Center and Southeast Recreation Center are great options for Aurora swimmers. The outdoor pools will remain open until August 8th, with weekend operations at the largest two, Meadow Hills and Del Mar, through September 1st.
